Ball Check Valve (Full Bore)
Ball check valve, of robust ductile iron design. Its floating ball mechanism is self-cleaning and does not jam, offering a full bore with no head loss. The ideal solution for preventing backflow in wastewater and pumping stations.

The GA18-1 ball check valve is the most reliable engineering solution for backflow prevention, especially in fluids with suspended solids. Its intelligent design is based on a rubber-coated ball that moves freely inside the valve body.
During normal flow, the ball moves into a side cavity, allowing a 100% full, unobstructed bore, which minimises head loss and prevents debris build-up. If the flow stops or tries to reverse, the ball instantly rolls back onto its seat, creating a tight, secure closure that prevents backflow and protects pumps from reverse rotation.
This self-cleaning mechanism makes it far superior to flap valves in wastewater applications, as it is practically impossible for it to jam. Its ductile iron body and removable top cover guarantee extreme durability and easy access for inspection, without the need to remove the valve from the pipeline.

- Wastewater pumping stationsIts main application, thanks to its anti-jam design.
- Sewerage and drainage networksTo prevent water returning in collectors and wells.
- Pump dischargeProtects pumps from backflow and reverse rotation, a common cause of breakdowns.
- Lines with sludge or fluids containing solidsThe full bore and rolling ball prevent solids from becoming trapped.
- Irrigation systems with unfiltered waterIdeal for systems drawing water from rivers or ponds with possible sediment.
