Reducing flange for polyethylene (PE) stub ends
Steel reducing loose flange. Its unique design allows a large-diameter polyethylene (PE) pipe to be connected to a flanged system of a smaller nominal diameter, acting as flange and reducer in a single piece.

The GA05-8 reducing flange is a smart engineered solution designed to optimise joints on polyethylene (PE) pipes. Its function is to allow a large-diameter pipe to be connected directly to a valve, pump or other equipment with a flange of a smaller nominal diameter.
This innovative design eliminates the need for a separate reducing cone and standard loose flange. By integrating both functions in a single piece, it not only reduces the number of components and joints in the installation, but also saves very valuable longitudinal space.
It is the ideal solution for designing compact manifolds, chambers with limited space or pump outlets where a diameter reduction is required. Like a standard loose flange, it rotates freely for easy bolt alignment, simplifying an assembly that would otherwise be very complex.
- Material
- High-strength carbon steel.
- Type
- Reducing loose (backing) flange.
- Key function
- Connects a larger-diameter PE pipe to a flange of a smaller nominal diameter.
- Advantages
- Saves space, reduces the number of parts and joints.
- Use
- Requires a PE stub end (not included) welded to the larger-diameter pipe.
- Flange standard
- Drilling compatible with PN10/16 (to EN 1092-1).
- Surface finish
- Bare steel (protective treatment recommended).

- Pump outletsIdeal for connecting a pump outlet to a smaller-diameter pipe.
- ManifoldsAllows irrigation or industrial distribution manifolds to be designed and built far more compactly.
- Equipment connectionFor installing valves, filters or meters of a smaller diameter than the main line without additional parts.
- Space optimisationThe best solution for chambers, plant rooms and any installation where longitudinal space is limited.
- Standardised transitionsEfficiently reduces a PE line to a standard flange size with a single piece.
